March 22, 2009 – CRM Innovation has released Web2CRM a Software + Services application for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 that enables non-technical CRM users to create a form for their website to get visitor data into their CRM system. It eliminates the inefficient cut & copy of form data received by email and then having to manually paste that into CRM.

With Web2CRM for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, non-technical CRM users can easily create powerful web forms to collect and send data to their CRM system. Use it to capture new leads, registration page for webinars, collect information before releasing white papers, or allowing customers to enter service cases on your website. The CRM user is presented with an intuitive visual form designer interface to easily drag and drop fields from a facsimile of their CRM form into a designer area and then they publish the form. All the form processing occurs on the CRM Innovation hosted server so that no code changes are required on the client’s CRM server. The company’s website designer can link to the form via a hyperlink, place the form reference in an iFrame or use the ‘carry code’ option to place the form html tags directly into their web page. There is no special coding that needs to be placed on the website server, it’s server platform independent.

Create customizable Tool Tip message for CRM Users when they are entering information into CRM 4.0 form fields.

InLine Help provides guidance to a CRM user when they are filling out CRM forms by allowing the creation of custom tooltip messages that are displayed on mouseovers of labels or controls. The tooltip messages are created from within a custom CRM entity (Tool Tips) and are viewable by users who are members of a CRM Team(s) that has been associated with a tool tip.

Tool tips can be of a simple text format Tool Tips or be stylized Tool Tips using HTML code that can be applied to the text. Stylized tool tips can even have hyperlinks to external files or sites. Tool Tip creators are CRM users that have been granted rights to create and save tool tip entity records. No programming is required to create tool tips. All tool tip management occurs within the CRM interface.

This product can be used by development teams to self document the customizations they are implementing. Use it as an integral part of the initial user training. Provide remedial assistance and to support new users that come on to the system after the initial CRM rollout.

Once a user no longer needs a tool tip they can be removed from the CRM Team assigned to that tool tip and it won't be visible to them any longer. It is even possible to have more than one tool tip message per form attribute - thereby allowing the creation of an instructional message for different groups of people using the form (ie one for Sales and the other for Marketing)

This is a CRM 4.0 product which works when online, offline and in the IFD mode and is deemed to implemented in a manner that would qualify it as a supported ISV solution.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM AutoNumber Add-in Solution

CRM Innovation, Lenexa, KS has released AutoNumber an add-in solution for Microsoft Dynamics 4.0.

February 11, 2009 -- CRM Innovation has released AutoNumber an add-in solution for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.

AutoNumber is an add-on product that can create a unique, easy to read reference number for records in the CRM system. This tool allows system customizers to add AutoNumbering to CRM entities that aren't support by the base numbering system. It makes it easy to create an AutoNumber that can be used by users to uniquely identify a record in the system without referencing another field or the GUID. The AutoNumber can be used to link the CRM record with other systems - a back office system or accounting applications or even paper files.

AutoNumber supports all custom entities and systems entities that users are permitted to create new attributes.

AutoNumber supports all custom entities. It supports all systems entities that accept new attributes and it supports records generated by Workflow. An AutoNumber can also be applied to entities that have a numbering system already such as Contracts, Cases, Articles, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, and Campaigns. AutoNumber field can be set to be read only or does not even have to be published to the form . There can be more than one AutoNumber for a record (i.e. multiple fields). Customizable prefix and suffix for each entity including setting the length of the prefix and/or suffix.The starting AutoNumber can be set by the user and the AutoNumber can be incremented or decremented. The amount of increment can be set by the user.

AutoNumbers can be of various format types: Integer, Floating point, Fixed length (padded left), Decimal value, Positive or negative values

At anytime the admin can stop, reset or restart the AutoNumber parameters. Records created prior to starting the AutoNumber system can be numbered by the AutoNumber add-in. The CRM user can preview the format of the AutoNumber. Autonumber supports online and offline users. (AutoNumbers are added to records when the user goes back online). AutoNumbers will never be duplicated or re-used. The system is enterprise class as there is no possibility of using the same number for 2 different records. If a record is deleted or deactivated it's number will not be used again.
